Episode 401: The Northwest's Star Wars Church
In a city far, far away (unless you live in Eastern Washington), is the Northwest’s only Star Wars church — The Jedi Alliance. It’s genuinely zoned as a church and its owner is officially ordained as a Jedi knight. Inside this unassuming building in a quiet Spokane neighborhood is wall-to-wall arcade games and pinball machines. Also, a pop culture museum with everything from He-Man to Ninja Turtles, Steve Urkel to a whole lot of Star Wars toys, and much, much more.
But there is more than meets the eye when it comes to this church … like how Johnny Ramone’s guitar helped fund it all. This is the story of the Jedi Alliance.
